As a volcano bursts through the mountain and spreads lava over the countryside, may good will burst from us and spill loving kindness in our communities.
As snow melts into channels – scours the runnels – forms a river, carrying rocks and minerals to the plains below; as our awareness deepens, may we be the rich alluvial soil in which passion for justice grows.
As a mountain stream gurgles over stones and moss and ferns, settling in clear pools, may we be a place of cool shade and refreshment for those who need green pasture and still water.
And for those who need a challenge may we be the Sherpa to guide and support; the team who set up base camp, bring provisions and check equipment; be both enablers and mountaineers.
May even our mustard seeds of faith move obstacles to our living well and loving boldly. May we be a peak and a vision to aspire to.
Go, now, in peace to act with love towards the universe and all creation, this day and always—
Amen
