Offering prayer at Advent

In this season of Advent, our thoughts turn to gifting and giving.
As we bring these offerings of money and food,
may we share the gifts of peace, reconciliation and goodwill.

May tatau pounamu — the greenstone door of enduring peace — be open
between us and all peoples and creatures of the earth.

May these gifts feed those who hunger for daily bread – and for justice,
and sustain this faith community
as we work for justice and peace.
